This is one of the very cool logo ideas some of my students came up with for a tsunami awarness campaign.
I am not sure it it is because it is winter, or that I have a cold, or that I am the parent of two wild boys, or lack of play money, but I am finding myself pretty boring these days. I poor my heart and soul into my work and my students. I love them, and watching them flourish is worth the effort. As anyone who teaches knows, it is much worse to slack off as middle schoolers will eat you alive if you are not more than prepared for the day.
With that said, once I get home, I am done. Sure, I make a good dinner, I visit with the boys about their day, sit in the hot tub, and water my seedlings. The by 7:30pm, I am done. No motivation, no energy, just done for the day, wanting nothing more than to just lay down and read a book.
Pretty exciting stuff, I know. The problem is there are millions of things that need to be done. For instance, we still need to have a conference call with our accountant, we need to prepare 2011 taxes, we need to re-stock our emergency kit after we used it for the tornadoes the other day. I got my onion sets in the mail yesterday, which means I need to plant around 100 onions this afternoon.
Now if I could just muster up some motivation and drive it would be great.
